We arrived to the party, the music was blasting loud. It was much bigger than the ones in Melbourne. I hated parties, I hated dancing, just everything about them. I scoped around for Luke and Jai. Skip and I walked into the crowd.
It kind of felt like a movie. It was like we were in slow motion, everyone slowly stopped dancing to look at us. Some of them actually noticed Skip. “Shitface, do you see them?” I yelled. He shook his head, but smiled. “What?” He didn’t seem to notice. I looked towards the direction he was facing, Gina. She was there looking at him. It was their movie moment, mine was before the SCF. Of course. The crowd split in to two as they met up in the middle. Beau was on the other side of Gina, he slowly backed off which made my heart sink. Gina and Skip locked eyes before a passionate kiss. Weird. Was that planned or? Gina and Skip stopped as they looked around at the crowd. They walked off the scene to do who know what. I wonder what they did. The crowd was still split into two, smiling almost as if they just watched their kids graduate.
I spotted Jai and Luke at the other side of the crowd clapping. “You two done?” Luke smiled and nodded, about to come over to me until Jai winked and grabbed me. We moved to the middle of the crowd as he started to kiss me. His kisses were heavier and heavier, I wrapped my arms around his neck as he picked me up. He was carrying me in his arms twirling me around as we kissed. We stopped kissing to take a break, he looked into my eyes as he put me down. “That was real spontaneous, Jai.” He laughed as he planted one sweet light kiss on my lips, which left me with butterflies fluttering around my insides. My heart was pounding, I’ve never been kissed like that before. It was the best feeling, more than the feeling I got when he would tell me he loved me. People were watching us, smiling, clapping. “I wanted to give you your moment, Gina had the spotlight, I wanted you to too.” I laughed as I poked his nose, “That’s all? He looked down, “No, I love kissing you.” I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his neck all the way up to his lips, I felt him shiver a bit. Made me think if he would agree to do the last thing on my list. Beau came over to us, “Wow, Jai that was. So when are you guys going to shoot porn?” My jaw dropped before I started laughing in hysterics, “Beau! You’re so stupid!” I slapped his arm. He winked, “I have to talk to you by the way!” I nodded and smiled as I kissed his cheek.
I looked around for Luke, worried if he spotted the scene. No where to be seen. Then it made me wonder if Jai only did that to make Luke jealous. I didn’t want him to start using me to get to his brothers feelings.
4 notesThe boys got back from their signing, they looked exhausted but happy. I was proud of them, the thought of it made my wrist and hand ache though. Just imagine signing about 2,000 plus autographs. “How was it?” The boys let out a deep breath, “We’re tired but it was fucking awesome seeing how many girls showed up.” Beau replied. Gina and I smiled and continued with our movie. “Like 6,000.” We looked back over and just smiled. It wasn’t a surprise, and we could give less of a shit. The boys shook their hands and plopped on the couches next to us. “So this is our last night in Sydney and we’re going to spend it watching T.V.?” James asked.
Jai took my hand as we walked out of the lobby, “Jess and I are going to go out, by ourselves guys.” Everyone raised their eyebrows, except for Luke. “No, I’ll go with you two. It’s probably more interesting than Maccas.” I furrowed my eyebrows. That was strange. Everyone else walked the opposite direction before Jai could say no. Jai let go of my hand and rubbed his eyebrows. “Okay, so a good walk to admire the city lights isn’t going to happen with this faggot tagging along.” I snorted, “It’s Luke common.” Luke gave a cheeky smile to Jai.
It wasn’t awkward, but then it was. I was in-between the two boys, Jai with his hands in his pockets. It was hot anyways, no need to transfer body heat to one another. “Jess, I heard the sunrise is great here, we should watch it.” Jai glared at Luke, “Jesse, let’s watch the city lights tonight on the roof? We can bring blankets and what not.”
“Oh, I can join you guys in the morning to watch the sunrise.”
“We probably won’t be awake.”
“Then I can wake you guys up.”
“Then you can fuck off and shut the fuck up.”
“I can do whatever the fuck I want.”
I placed my hands over their mouths. It was all weird, twins arguing right next to me. If I didn’t know them well enough, it would be like they were my conscious and I was just delusional. “Uh, I’m going to go back to the hotel.” I turned and walked away, the two boys still standing there bickering. My eyes wide open, I couldn’t even think about what just happened.
The room was empty, they all weren’t back. I needed alone time anyways. Maybe what Gina and I heard was true? I’ve been friends with these boys since we were in diapers, I wouldn’t want to be the reason why they aren’t as close. The thing was, Luke has always acted like an older brother towards me, treating me like his younger sister yet why did he choose the time now to act so… romantic? Especially all of those times where he told me to take care of Jai or to go watch the sunset, when he would aw at us. It didn’t make sense, what so ever.
Then it hit me. He chose the time right where Jai and I started to get serious, where we all started to get all mushy and less rough. Even Gina, although her quitting smoking wasn’t a bad thing she was changing by the minute even when I thought she didn’t change one bit.
Everything was becoming so strange, I liked it but then I didn’t. It was all exciting for me in a way. The door opened, I didn’t feel like looking back. “Shitface.” I said under my breath. He was singing the lahme song as he walked in, no one behind him. “Jess, what are you doing here alone?” I looked back at him I couldn’t even speak with my mind full of shit. “You know I trust you right?” He nodded. “I came back alone, they’re all going to this party at the beach I was going to rest here before going.” I sighed with relief. “Does Luke like me?”
Skip and I drove the rental car to the beach meeting up with everyone else. “Did you say Luke and Jai were there too?” He nodded, “Yeah we met them at Maccas, they actually did seem pissed. Just didn’t show it.” I looked out the window, “Right, because if they did you all would ask and they would have to confess.” Skip laughed, “Do not tell anyone.”
“You can trust me shitface.”
2 notes“I know you love her.”
“You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.” I gasped and cupped my mouth with my hand. “Why are you getting so defensive? I see the way you look at her.” Luke got up letting out a deep breath and started walking towards the door, “If I loved her she wouldn’t be with you.” My eyes widened, Gina and I removed our ears from the door and ran as fast as we could to the living room where we were originally. “No way.” Gina said as the door creaked open.
We all arrived at the hotel we were going to be staying in Sydney. It was beautiful, the presidential suite. “Gina we have our own bathroom!” Our room was huge, along with the rest of the suite. Gina ran in with her suitcase and started to jump on the bed. “I’ve never seen a place so nice! Especially with my broke ass family!” We both laughed as we jumped on the bed together. “I’m serious” I had to catch my breath before continuing on, “Let’s all go to North Carolina, my dad can pay for each of us it will be fun!”
James, Skip and Luke were in the living room watching television. Jai and Beau were checking out the gym, of course. Skip motioned Gina over. She ran straight over to him and sat on his lap as they started to make out. Definitely not a sight I would not want to see. Luke and James scrunched up their faces, “My God, get a room.” Luke said. Daniel and Gina did just so. He carried her all the way to our room to do who knows what. James sighed, “I wish Sarah was here.” I looked down at my feet feeling my heart drop for Beau, but at the same time happy for Gina and Skip.
Luke and I were on the balcony watching the sun go down. “You know, it’s weird. This was originally the plan for Jai and I but now you’re the one I’m watching the sunset with.” He laughed to himself, “Like a plot twist.” I giggled, “You can say that I guess.” We sat there in silence watching the sun go down. This time I felt Luke’s eyes on me, instead of the opposite. It didn’t feel wrong, but it didn’t feel right. It was a neutral feeling, and something inside of me was worried. I looked at Luke, but he turned away quickly so I wouldn’t catch him. “Take a picture, it lasts longer.” I smiled and got up. “Of what?” I let out my hand to help him up, “The uhm, sunset. It would be nice you know? Then when you look at the picture you can remember the feelings and the moments we shared before I’m gone.” Luke grabbed my hand to help himself up. “Gone? What do you mean gone?” My eyes widened, I didn’t mean to blur that out. “I mean like, not around. Like when you feel-alone you can yeah look at the-uh I’m hungry.” I ran inside of the suite running into Jai’s chest. He wrapped his arms around me, “I was looking for you. There’s something far more better than the sunset.”
He took me to the rooftop, in a way it was a bit better but not as much. Sydney’s city lights were beautiful, the weather was as well. Brought me a bit of tranquility hearing the sounds of city life. “This is fucking amazing, never seen something like this.” Jai smiled as he held my waist from behind. He started to kiss my neck, which was my weakness. I felt chills go down my spine, feeling ticklish in my arm. His soft pecks left me wanting more. A light moan slipped from my lips. “Stop teasing me loser.” Jai laughed, “I love you.” Those three words did nothing to me but make me go into a series of good emotions, like I could jump off of this building and fly. All of my problems disappeared. The way he would say it helped me believe it. “I love you too.”
Everyone was saying goodnight to each other, Gina and Skip gave a goodnight kiss right in front of Beau. I gave an apologetic smile to Beau, letting him to not take it so hard. He flared his nose and made a silly face, which let me know things were okay. Luke stuck up his middle finger, “Goodnight sluts and Jess.” I laughed hard, “Goodnight Luke!” James went straight to the room he and Jai were sharing. Jai came up to me and hugged me tight, “Goodnight loser.”
1 noteI knew Jai for seventeen years already and I still couldn’t figure him out to the full extent. There were times where he was like a little child, or some guy who could seduce you in a minute. I didn’t know whether that was a good or bad thing, not being able to figure him out. There were times when I looked into his eyes and I could see straight away who he was, but other times I felt confused.
My mom and I were watching movies all morning into the afternoon. She knew about my sunset schedule with Jai, which I was re-considering. I felt like watching the sunset with Luke instead, and then watch the moonrise with Jai. Watching Luke watching the sunset was kind of like watching ballet. It was beautiful in some sense. Jai on the other hand, well he was Jai. It was hard for him to find any significance in it besides the fact that he was with me. I loved sunsets the same reasons as Luke did. I wanted Jai to want to watch the sunset because of the sunset, not because I wanted to.
The Brooks brothers and I were going to the beach for a night swim, they made sure to pick me up before the sunset. I sat up in the front with Beau while Gina was in between Luke and Jai. The boys were going to a meet and greet tomorrow in Sydney, which was why we wanted to do something before they went. “Skip isn’t coming today, he’s out with James and Sarah.” Gina nodded. I turned back around and poked Beau’s hand which was on the stick shift. He smiled.
We all arrived at the beach, it was blazing hot with a light ocean breeze. The salty air filled my nose. We went to a remote part of the coast, so we could have the beach to ourselves. “You guys should come with me to North Carolina one day, my dad has a beach house there.” They all looked towards me, “Beau’s the only one who has been to America, that would be shitloads of fun.” Luke said. Everyone stripped down to their bathing suits as we stepped on the sand. “Luke, the sun is going down!” I pointed to the sky as Jai ran around in the water with Beau. I told him I wanted to watch the sunsets with Luke and the moon rise with him. Luke and I sat down right where the waves pull away from the sand. We watched in awe, sunsets were most beautiful by the ocean of course. The soft waves filled our ears, it couldn’t have been more beautiful. “It’s like a huge painting, a story even.” Luke didn’t take his eyes off of the sky. “A story?” He nodded, I couldn’t help but watch him instead of the sunset, it was much more beautiful.
The feeling I got was like watching two people in love, looking at Luke watch the sunset was so serene. “You see the pink, the orange and the yellow?” I took my eyes away from Luke and looked at the sky. “Yeah.”
“It’s like the orange is in love with the yellow, but the pink is too. It wants to butt in their relationship, but the pink knows the orange and yellow are compatible. The pink knows they’re good for each other and when the moon rises it tells the rest of the story through the stars, it shows that patterns can change in a story, like a plot twist. Kind of says that the Pink and Yellow somehow end up together because it was meant to be.” As Luke finished talking the sun was down, and the moon was about to rise. I looked at Luke, he was still facing the sky, something in his eyes. “Deep.” He huffed, “Real.”
Jai and I skipped the moon and frolicked in the water. “What was next on your list?” I chuckled. “What? What is it?” Jai lifted me up bridal style. “Skinny dip.” His eyes widened and a huge smile was plastered across his face. He pressed his lips against mine as he let me down slowly. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt the soft waves hit our bodies. He kissed me more passionately. I released from the kiss, “I guess we’re going to have to do that when you come back.” He sighed, “I can’t wait.”
Everyone was in a circle, Gina and Beau seemed to get along well. “Just come with us to Sydney, it will be fun!” Beau exclaimed. Gina and I looked at each other and nodded. “I’ll ask my mom.” Gina finally said. “You know mine, she let’s me spend the night at your house already why not go to Sydney. Plus I’ve never been there before, it’s on my bucket list.” Jai looked over at me and smiled.
0 notesI woke up breathing in Jai’s armani scent. I removed his arms from me and got up, walking out of his room and shutting his door quietly. “Gina!” She looked over at me as she shut her door as well. “You’re lucky your mom and I are cool to let you spend the night here like this.” I laughed, “Yeah, thank you so much! You don’t mind, do you?” She shook her head and came at me with open arms. “Sweetie, you’ve been sleeping with Jai since you both were in diapers.” We both laughed, “Yes that could be a little misconstrued.” I said.
In the living room, James, Beau, Skip and Luke were watching cartoons while eating cereal. Beau spotted me first, “Jesse! Sup my nigga.” I snorted, “In America that would be the wrong thing to say.” He laughed, “I almost forgot you came from America.” I shrugged my shoulders and plopped myself on the recliner. “You’re sure spending a lot of time with Jai.” James stated. The ball from my throat dropped. I forgot to tell everyone I was moving, I realized only Jai knew. “It’s summer! What else would I be doing anyways?” I didn’t want everyone knowing anyways. Obviously Ms. Gina didn’t mention it either. Saying goodbye would mean forever, and I wouldn’t be able to handle it. Jai being the only one to know was good enough for me.
“Whatever go ahead. You’re breaking your own promise though, just letting you know.” Jai rolled his eyes and looked away, “I’m sorry, I just feel bad. He doesn’t even know I’m moving, cut him a little slack this is one sunset. You know he loves them.” Jai looked back at me and smiled. “Well, he looks exactly like me so there wouldn’t be a huge difference anyways.” We both laughed until he planted a kiss on my lips.
Luke and I sat on the roof of his house, waiting for the sun to set. “I love sunsets slash sunrises, I’m like obsessed with them.” I giggled, “Yeah, I know.” Luke leaned back on his elbows.I noticed how focused he was on the sky, which was almost inspirational. He seemed so enchanted, made me feel better about kicking Jai to the curb to watch a sunset with Luke instead, which sounded bad I know but I couldn’t help but feel that way. The way Luke’s eyes glistened made me smile. “Why do you love them so much?” He looked at me, finally taking his eyes away from the sky. “They’re just beautiful, I don’t know. They make me happy, calms me down, helps me forget about my shitty life.” I bit my lip, feeling the ball drop in my throat. “You should be an artist.” He shook his head, “That’s Jai, have you ever seen him draw?”
We watched the sunset in silence then Luke lead me to the room him and Jai share. He searched through a drawer and pulled out a drawing. It looked exactly like me. The day we were writing our opinions about each other, it was detailed and everything. “He’ll kill me if he figures out I showed you this, but isn’t he the cutest thing? He drew you a lot actually.” I took the picture in my hands and studied it carefully. I loved it, I wondered why he didn’t give it to me the day the opinions were supposed to be handed out to everyone. It said a lot though. My head was resting on my palm, I was writing while smiling but my eyes seemed so sad. “Should I find this creepy are irresistibly cute?” Luke laughed and shrugged his shoulders, “What do you think?”
I stuffed the drawing in my bag. It’s not like Jai would figure out its disappearance anyways. I didn’t even know how well he could draw, he must draw rarely then. Beau dropped me off at my house before Jai came back from the theater with Tyla, James and Skip. It kind of felt like forever since I last saw my mom.
1 noteThe Brooks house, yet again it was still the same. The aroma was the same since I was little, the furniture moved a couple of times but it never felt different in that house. Gina and I were sitting at the table. I felt the cool wood beneath my thighs. “So he doesn’t know?” I asked. Gina bit her lip and looked down as she shook her head. “NO, but please just do not speak a word.” I nodded and gave her a warm smile, letting her know she can trust me, it’s not like she didn’t anyways. We gazed at Skip and Jai, being the idiots they were. Heather and Beau were in his room, probably doing who knows what.
“Whatever, fuck you!”
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“I’m leaving dickhead! It’s over!” Heather stormed out of the house, her blonde hair swishing from side to side. Gina snorted, “Go slut go!” We both bursted out laughing until Beau came out with his hands on his hips, which shut us up. I got up going to his side and placed my hand on his shoulder. “She didn’t deserve you babe.” He hugged me tight until I couldn’t breathe. James came over joining in on the hug. “Hey mate, she wasn’t worth it at all.” I nodded in agreement and hugged Beau just as tight. “Ok I feel like a faggot right now.” Beau said. We all laughed. I had never seen a girl break up with him, it was always the other way. Beau headed back to his room with his hands above the air. “Good thing mum isn’t here! She would have kicked the sluts ass.”
Gina and I were out on the porch to leave the boys with their alone time. “Are you trying to quit then? What’s up?” She shook her head, “It’s impossible! It’s like taking Jai away from you, it’s so addicting. I’m only doing this for Skip.” I nodded, “Maybe just stop smoking, there are things you can do. Put it on your bucket list or something.”
I walked to Beau’s room, “Hey Beau, what was that about?” His shirt was off, he was soaking in the heat, I could see the light coat of sweat covering his toned body. “I love Gina.” I gasped, that came out of no where. I had no clue what so ever. “Yo-you what? Did I hear you correctly or?” He got up and started pacing around his room. “That’s why Heather stormed out because I told her, I just I don’t know. I’ve always loved Gina, since I laid eyes on her. I was so compelled by her presence I never said a word. JESSE help me!” My eyes widened, I started laughing to the point where my stomach started to hurt. “Beau! What the flying fuck?” I poked my head outside of his room looking into the living room where everyone was sitting just to make sure no one was eavesdropping.
“Okay let’s just brea-“
“a-and now she’s with Skip! I chose the wrong time, I can’t do this.” Beau collapsed on his bed letting out a long heavy sigh. “What’s wrong with me?”
“Beaubear is in love! Oh heavens!” I jumped on top of Beau and started to squeeze his cheeks. “Skip though.”
James and Sarah were taking a walk outside, like always which was why I never saw him as often as I used to. The thing was though, in situations like these James knew how to make everyone laugh and forget about what we were worrying about, he just brought peace. Gina was having a good time with Skip, a good conversation I suppose which probably killed me inside just as much as it did Beau. Jai and Luke were playing table tennis, like always. I lounged on Jai’s bed, hoping Jai would have the common courtesy to wake me up if I decided to fall asleep.
It was all a surprise to me. Never in my life would I think Beau would ever like Gina. Scratch that, be in love with her. It created a huge problem considering Skip and Gina were already pretty intimate much less in a relationship basically. It was too much to take in, too much to even think about. The thing was, Beau was never interested in girls like Gina. I’ve always seen him with the skinny tan blonde girls with preppy styles, not girls with thick brunette curly hair who had a few piercings and some tattoos. It was all too surreal.
“Jess? You awake?” I rubbed my eyes before opening them. Jai was laying beside me with his hand on my forehead. “I thought you were sick or something.” I shook my head and smiled, closing my eyes. I felt Jai hold me in his arms, my head on his chest. The warmth between us gave me butterflies. His chin rested on my head.
“I love spending the nights with you, just like this. Nothing else.”
“Me too.”
“I can’t wait to do what’s next on your list.”
0 notesI knocked on Luke’s door, before the sunset.
“Luke, may I come in?”
“Yeah, it’s open.” I turned the knob slowly then opened the door slower. He was laying on his bed staring up at the ceiling. “Hey are you okay? You barely talked at all today.” He pressed his lips together and swallowed the lump in his throat. I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall after closing the door behind me. “I’m not..actually.” He finally replied. I bit my lip in confusion, Luke was usually in a good mood. “Then why? What’s going on?” He said up, letting his legs hang over the bunk bed. He looked right into my eyes which made me nervous. “I don’t know, everything feels different. I mean, with you and Jai and all it’s just weird now.” I uncrossed my arms and climbed the ladder to his bed. I sat next to him, wrapping my arms around my knees. “Remember when we were kids? I had this huge crush on Beau?” He nodded and laughed, “Yeah you were an idiot.” I punched his arm, “Yeah well, I was acting different, he was even acting different. I mean, we have to accept change, sometimes it’s just for the better. Me being with Jai is weird, I know. I would have never thought, but in a way we’re all still the same.”
Luke and I sat on his bed for a few minutes reminiscing the good times when we were younger, which brought me good feelings. “You always know how to make me feel better.” I smiled at him and rested my head on his shoulder. “I just don’t want you to think I’m getting too mushy and shit. I think what you find different is that you can’t be as protective as you were because Jai’s your brother so there’s nothing to worry about.” He nodded and kissed my head, “Go watch the sunset with my fuckshit brother.” I hugged him tight, “Let’s hang out more, yeah? I miss you.” He nodded without saying a word.
We walked to a hill, the best view of the sun. “Jai, do you think this is weird? Like us? I mean we used to be best friends-are we getting too mushy? Like-” He cut me off by putting his hand over my mouth, “Jess, if it’s meant to be it’ll be. Stop thinking so far ahead, idiots do that and become worried about the future and it hasn’t even happened yet. Focus on the moment, live in the moment. Stop worrying about what has already been done and what’s soon to come. Please.” He removed his hand and held mine, squeezing it. I felt all bubbly, I knew I was blushing. “Remember when saying I love you was a huge deal, like it meant a whole lot?” He nodded and hugged me tight before I could say anything, squeezing the air out of me. Jai put me on my back as he lay on top of me. “I love you Jess.” He kissed me softly, I released quickly. “What the hell Jai! You beat me to it. Asshole.” He laughed hard and fell on his back, his face was turning red. “I love you too.”The sun was going down, Jai and I admiring the beautiful hues of pinks, oranges and yellows across the sky as it set. I felt Jai look at me a couple of times while we sat on the meadowy hill. I smiled each time.
“Gina! It feels like forever.” She laughed on the other line, “Jesse it’s been two days.” I smiled and walked around my room.
“I was wondering if you want to come to the Brooks house with me? Heather is going to be there and Skip and-“
“Yes! Can we just chill alone there though? I mean of course hangout with everyone but we seriously need to catch up.”
1 note“So, what’s first on your list?” Jai asked as we were chilling on my balcony. I searched everything to the back of my mind, trying to start off small. My summer bucket list was filled with things, the last thing on it was what I wanted to do before I moved. “Camp.” Jai furrowed his eyebrows, “And where would we find some woods?” I laughed, “No idiot like in my backyard or something.”
Jai was setting up the tent in my backyard, horribly. I sat and watched him while sucking on a red popsicle. “Uhm, you can help me instead of just watching!” He yelled over to me. I giggled, “Ooo, feisty! I like it.” I threw my popsicle stick in the grass and walked over to Jai, setting up the tent the right way. “Jai, weren’t you in boy scouts? How come I can set up a tent faster than you?” He rolled his eyes, which made me smile. I kissed him on the cheek to break the small tension.
We brought a whole bunch of blankets from my house to the tent, to make it more comfortable. I brought lanterns out and set them up in the tent, so it wouldn’t be too dark. Jai brought a whole bunch of food and a mini boom box. It was perfect, what I wanted. We sat in there eating and talking about anything and everything in our pajamas. ”Jess!” I heard my moms voice, “Hold on Jai.” He nodded. I unzipped the tent, “I made some brownies for you two! Make sure you guys are good, I have my window open. NO funny business.” I snorted, “Okay mom! You can trust us.” I got up slowly and took the brownies in my head before giving my mom a kiss on the cheek.
It was kind of hard to believe. How lucky I actually was, and it took 17 years to actually realize that. I closed my eyes, hearing the crickets and the music on low. I felt Jai’s eyes on me. “Jessica?” My eyes stayed closed, “Yeah?” He laughed, “I umm..” I opened my eyes and looked at him, shifting my weight to my elbow as my head rest on the palm of my hand. “You what?” He looked down and bit his lip, “I still think you’re a loser.” Jai looked back up at me and gave me a cheeky smile. “You’re the loser if anything! You can’t even set up a tent.” He raised one eyebrow than started tickling me until I couldn’t handle it anymore. “Jai stop!” I tried pushing his hands off of me so I can get him back. My stomach hurt from laughing so much. He finally stopped and I noticed he was on top of me. We locked eyes, my heart was pounding. Jai lay a kiss on my lips, leading into a heavier one. A more passionate one. He pulled away and fall to the side, wrapping his arms around me.
We were awoken by my mother, checking up on us. “You guys good? Jai your mom was calling.” I got up slowly, rubbing my eyes. “Yes ma’am, and sure thing it’s probably about the washing! I forgot to do it yesterday.” My mother laughed, “Okay, you two I expect this to be cleaned up before noon. We’re all going out to lunch.”
Everyone was sitting at this big table in this Italian restaurant. I was between Beau and Jai, Luke on the other side of Beau. Our moms were having a nice chat about who knows what. “Heather is coming over tonight, you should too Jess.” I pressed my lips together, “You know she doesn’t like me. She barely even trusts you around me, she has her eyes peeled all the time.” He laughed, “Well you’re obviously with Jai now, there would be no reason for her to suspect anything.” I shrugged, “I’ll think about it.” Luke was messing with his food, he was quiet for some odd reason. I turned to face Jai, “Sunset, yeah?” He nodded and smiled.
